CDFA is at the forefront of California’s continuing transition toward sustainability by supporting a variety of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects across the state. The power of CDFA is that the creation of RNG positively impacts individuals, communities, multiple industries, and the planet as a whole. The local communities that surround these projects (Dairies, WasteWater facilities and Landfill/Green waste recovery centers) benefit. Improved smells, better and more stable employment opportunities and even reduced costs are some of these direct and indirect benefits.

As RNG facilities are coming online across California we want to ensure community voices are front and center. CDFA has an opportunity to communicate the multiple lesser known yet vital community benefits these projects have to offer. California's carbon zero transition is about more than just technology, it’s also about cleaner air, creating jobs, and lifting up communities.

For our shorts we will follow one community spokesperson per area of focus. Three community impact shorts covering
1) Dairy RNG
2) Wastewater
3) MSW/Food, and Green Waste.
We will hear how each respective project is providing improved air quality, employment opportunities for the community and improving environmental/economic conditions overall, lending credibility to the CDFA's policy direction for the state. Finally we will cut the best of our footage together to build a single narrative highlighting the positive community impact on the state as a result of projects led by the direction of the CDFA. Connecting these projects to better quality of life and economic access for all Californians.
Below we outline some initial concepts and present some example works

Our video opens with CDFA describing SB 1383 and the fast moving requirements for the state and responsibilities of the state agency. Powerful visuals showcasing the scale of waste. A Food/Green waste expert from companies such as Anaergia chimes in with relevant stats and walks us through how we are creating value out of green waste. We transition to CDFA leadership describing the challenge of sustainably handling water, food and green waste as we get into the solutions related to water/food/green waste diversion we get an overview from experts tackling this challenge.
Our speakers help the audience understand how we are using anaerobic digestion to reduce our GHG emissions and increase waste food diversion rates and produce energy, offsetting hydrocarbons. We close with CDFA leadership charting the waste diversion future for california and a community leader highlighting the economic opportunities and ecological improvement.

We begin with a Dairymen giving us an overview of the challenges of sustainable Dairy farming, and how new partnerships and policies are enabling a better future. CDFA leadership speaks about where we are now and what the future of dairy looks like in California. We lend credibility to our policy expert by highlighting cutting edge companies like Aemetis, and CalBio and gaining perspective from Dairymen on their partnerships.
Company representatives gives us an overview of how digestion technology is helping us divert methane and create zero carbon fuels and how they are creating a closed system that handles waste, energy production, and carbon capture simultaneously. We close our video with community leadership speaking about the positive economic and environmental impacts.

The CDFA promo will be an exciting summary of our
Community Impact videos.
We will cut the best of our footage together to build a narrative
highlighting our current challenges in Dairy farming as well as
agricultural waste diversion. Then bring in our experts,
stakeholders and CDFA leadership to showcase the bright
future ahead as we integrate new technologies and
partnerships to reduce our carbon footprint and produce clean
energy.
We will close with our community leaders restating how
these changes translate to a stronger economy and a healthier
environment for Californians.

We hear from a community leader explaining the importance of tackling the green waste challenge in helping California reach its sustainability goals and the benefits to communities. An industry expert walks us through technologies coming online to produce value out of green waste and what the future looks like in a california managing green waste sustainably.

Return to interview shot of Robbie as he transitions us to into the next scene explaining that not only is Aemetis creating zero carbon fuels but it is also helping local communities through economic opportunities and and ecological improvement.

We hear from our community leader explaining the importance of this partnership for helping California reach its sustainability goals and how Aemetis is providing employment opportunities for the community and improving environmental conditions, lending credibility to Robbies previous statements. Here we use footage of workers at the facility and establishing shots of the central valley.
Questions will be updated upon feedback and refinement in this document
The ribbon-cutting at Aemetis central valley facility marks an important milestone in California’s zero-carbon future. Our plan for this event is to capture all speeches chronologically from beginning to end (2 angles) with b-roll to be used in the highlights reel. Additionally we will take professional photos and offer the option of setting up a livestream.

All videos will feature original interviews, original b-roll, drone footage, and the incorporation of motion graphics where necessary.

We will create shorter social cuts for the purposes of easy sharing on social media and email etc.

We will have a dedicated photographer on set at all shoot locations to capture a series of photos to match the motif of each of our videos for use on digital promo materials.
